Maddalena Ghezzi

Maddalena Ghezzi is a London based singer, composer and improviser. Her voice was described as “ethereal” and her approach as “giving the sensation of something ancient but also otherworldly” by JazzWise Magazine. Ghezzi has released five EPs as part of her series Minerals that feature on BBC Radio, WFMU, NTS and two albums, Eŭropo:sen limoj and CARE, with her band FUWAH. She collaborates with Maria Chiara Argirò, Ruth Goller and has performed with renowned artists Matana Roberts and Jessica Ackerley. She performed at the London Jazz Festival, Milan Jazz Festival, Vortex Jazz Club, Cafe Oto, and London’s Southbank Centre. An advocate for gender equality she is part of Cohort 7 of Mutual Mentorship For Musicians. She studied with Brigitte Beraha and Sara Serpa.
