ANDREA MASSARIA
Italian guitar player and composer based in Trieste, Andrea Massaria bagan studying classical guitar at the age of eleven under the guidance of masters Guido Percacci and Pierluigi Corona. After having performed an intense activity as a classical guitarist, since 1990 he works in the field between experimental jazz, improvisation, and contemporary music drawing from a wide range of influences. He spans from free jazz to textural soundwork to noise to contemporary classical music, he works on exploring the natural rawness of his instrument and dives in to experimenting on what the guitar is capable of in sound and expression, with and without preparation.
